In healthcare business news, Shire (SHPG) plans to acquire Baxalta in a deal valued at $30.6 billion. Also, CVS (CVS) dropped Pfizer’s (PFE) Viagra from its PBM formulary, now that each pill costs $53.
From the FDA, Novartis’ (NVS) Gilenya label was updated to reflect the risk of progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML).
